Searches
To do your search, in the search box write the term or sequence of characters you want to find. As you write, you would see all the entries of the dictionary in four languages. In the list of terms, you would see the entries in blue and its respectively languages : Basque (eu), Spanish (es), French (fr) and English (en). Click on the Enter button. Alternatively, a word can be selected from the drop-down list that opens while writing.
In you want to select the language you want to run a search in from the options that appear on the left of the search box (English (en), Spanish (es), Basque (eu) or French (fr)).
If you want to restrict the search to a specific field, you need to select the field in the list located on the left hand side of the screen.
Results
The result of the search will appear at the top of the screen. Should the word sought have more than one meaning, they will be displayed one after the other, classified according to the field they belong to.
Information that each item may contain:
Field corresponding to the term
Syn. The synonyms of the terms are displayed after the abbreviation
Then the equivalent terms in each language will appear according to the international abbreviation of the language: English (en), Spanish (es), Basque (eu) or French (fr)
Sometimes, definitions.
Sistemak bilaketa-laukian idatzi duzuna hiztegian aurkitzen ez duenean, mezu hau bistaratzen du informazio-atalean: "Bilatu duzun hitza ez dago hiztegian. Nahi baduzu, hiztegian sartzeko proposamena bidal dezakezu". Proposamena jartzen duen tokian sakatuz, termino hori hiztegiratzeko proposamen bidali daiteke.

With this button you could consult any word you enter in the search box, directly in other dictionaries. To do so, all you have to do is click in one of these dictionaries: Elhuyar Hiztegiak, Elhuyarren Zientzia eta Teknologiaren Hiztegi Entziklopedikoa and Euskalterm.

To go back or return to the previous screen, click on the arrow of the browser window.
You can also choose the language of the browser: English, Spanish, Basque or French, To do so, all you have to do is click on the button eu, es, en or fr.
